TOUR
From Castro we head north to Quemchi, the starting point of a full cultural day trip, where we will visit beautiful rural spots, and three of the sixteen wooden churches under UNESCO Protection for their recognition as World Heritage.
At Quemchi we’ll do a short visit to the main points of the town. Later we continue our journey through secondary roads, towards Aucar chapel. Then we head to Colo, to visit its church, dated from the XIXth century. We will also have lunch in a local place. Afterward, we’ll continue traveling along Chiloé Island until we reach the village of Tenaún, where is located the only church with three towers.
Our last visit will be the village of San Juan, where still it’s possible to watch the shore’s carpenters working at their boats, close to San Juan´s church;
In the afternoon we’ll go back to Castro.
